First Day Schedule and Lunch
The first day is Minimum Day Dismissal at 1:30
We willhave lunch service on the first day (one lunch) but the first days of schoolare always a difficult transition for the cafeteria. Students are unfamiliarwith the system and they take longer to place their order. The lines can beextremely long and I would have to see a student not get food. We recommendpacking a lunch. After the first day we will split the 6th graders into a separate lunch until 9/12 allowing them to acclimate.
Planner
Planners will be handed out with schedules on Tuesday morning. The school planner is thesecond most critical piece of support we offer to help students stay on top oftheir assignments. We recommend that parents review the planner with theirchildren the night after the first day of school. It holds most of the criticalinformation a family would need to know.
Even if a student got their scheduleat the Gaspar-B-Que, we recommend they get another copy on Tuesday morning justin case of any last minute changes.
Communication with Teachers
Reachout to teachers as soon as possible to build a relationship.
Good first impression
Students:Make sure you make a good first impression. Smiles and handshakes go a long wayto generate a good teacher-student rapport.
